The electrification of transportation is just one of the keys to decarbonizing our transportation sector. Reducing the need for personal vehicles is another key mass transit and multi-modal transportation solutions are ways to accomplish this.
Buses, vans, and other mass transit solutions allow for a more efficient transportation system, reduce the number of cars required by a community, and allow for affordability. On the other hand, bikes, mopeds, shared vehicles, and other transport modes offer alternatives to personal cars and can be combined with mass transit to allow for a holistic system that can serve the needs of many and minimize the need for personal cars.

In this Think Tech Hawaii episode, John describes his master plan and the progress being made to expand our island’s mass transit system to host Mitch Ewan in this 30-minute segment.
