On July 7, 2018, we held our Coffee and EV Meet-up at the Papa’aloa Country Store and Cafe. Despite the bands of rain that blessed the event, we had a great turn-out. We  had a great mix of electric cars, including the new Tesla Model 3 and the 2018 Nissan LEAF. We also had 3 first gen LEAFs, 2 Chevy Bolts, a Chevy Volt, a Kia Soul EV, Tesla Model S, X, and Roadster,

Several guests came specifically to see the Model 3. Some were awaiting orders and some were holding off to place their order until they had a chance to check out the car up close. My favorite quote: “I’m ready to place my order but I first wanted to sit in it.”

Thank you to all of our members who showed up to support the event. Special thanks to Gary Miller (event coordinator), Bernard Moret (for showing and addressing many questions about his Model 3), and the Papa’aloa Country Store management and staff (for the great venue, coffee, and food).
