The Hawaii Electric Vehicle Association (Hawaii EVA) is a chapter of the Electric Auto Association (EAA). The EAA is a non-profit formed in 1967 in San Jose, California. Its mission from the start has been to increase the adoption of electric vehicles. This is especially admirable, given its early beginnings. Today, the EAA has many chapters across the U.S. and Canada, each one doing its part to speed up the adoption of electric vehicles. Together with Plug In America, and the Sierra Club, the EAA sponsors the annual National Drive Electric Week celebration.

“The oldest and largest non-profit whose members educate and advocate for rapid electric vehicle adoption in chapters across the U.S. and Canada.”

Hawaii Electric Vehicle Association (Hawaii EVA)

Hawaii EVA was organized in mid-2019. This chapter of the EAA is comprised of sub-chapters, currently Kauai EV and Big Island Electric Vehicle Association (all EV clubs are invited), along with active members of the Tesla Hawaii Club. The Hawaii EVA fosters collaboration among electric vehicle clubs and vehicle owners across the islands, advocates for policies that encourage residents to adopt electric vehicles, and provides operational and logistical support for its sub-chapters.

Hawaii EVA Mission

To increase the adoption of sustainable transportation and to decrease fossil fuel dependency in Hawaii.
