On Saturday, April 7, we gathered at the Kohala Coffee Mill in Hawi for our Coffee and Electric Vehicle meet-up. Some came as far as Hilo to join the event. Despite rainy weather on the way to the event (and a forecast of heavy rain and flooding), we were met with a clear skies and no rain. It was a perfect setting for our event – we had great company and excellent coffee and food.
Several members brought their EVs – we had Chevy Bolts, Nissan LEAFs, a Chevy Volt, a Tesla Model S, and a Tesla Model 3 (courtesy of members Fernando and Carla). Several people came to see the Model 3 and they were not disappointed – they had reservations/orders and were excited to see one up close and hear about the ownership experience. Fernando shared a positive review of the car and allowed us to sit in it and check out the fit and finish of the Model 3.
Thanks to all who attended. Special thanks to Jared Terpak for organizing this event and to the Kohala Coffee Mill for hosting us.
The following is a gallery of images from our event. Thanks to Gary Miller for these shots.
