HELCO’s Level 3 charging stations will soon be operational.  The Hilo station is located at 1200 Kilauea Avenue. Based on images taken at the site and information from a HELCO representative, the station will soon be ready for use.

According to HELCO, it may also accept major credit cards (this still has to be confirmed). Of course, it will be available for Greenlots subscribers.

The station will be accessible 24/7 and there will be a flat rate per use. Depending on time of day, it can range from $7-$8. Additional details of the fees can be found at: HELCO EV Rates.

The HELCO Kona site is also being prepared.  It is taking a little longer as there are additional site preparations required to allow for the 24/7 access.
