With a 50 mile electric-only range, the 2017 Chevy Volt offers the opportunity to travel in pure electric mode for most of your commute – the average commute on our island is generally well within this range.  With the range extender (a gasoline-powered motor), the Volt can travel well over 350 miles (on top of the pure-electric range).  The Volt allows for extended commuting without the range concerns associated with pure electric vehicles.
